History:

Azwar is a person who has learning disability and behavioral problems.

How those the disability affect him?

  • A learning disability is characterized by low reading and writing skills.
  • Azwar had issues learning to read and write during his school years.
  • As a result of those issues he has behavioral problems such has as aggression.

KVTC ‘s Intervention:

When Azwar first joined KVTC:

  • He was insecure and showed hesitation in discussing his problems this led to him being physically aggressive.
  • Azwar lacked confidence in his own abilities and often shyed away from completing tasks.
  • He also.lacked social skills and could not communicate effectively with people.

Improvements due to intervention:

  • Azwar confidence has skyrocketed he now is more confident in his own abilities.
  • Also, he has become more open to discuss his issues and problems with the psychologist.
  • His communication skills have improved drastically. He has learned to communicate clearly.Because, he is an an teaching assistant and he has to explain different concepts to the students.

Achievement

  • Azwar is capable in useing Word Processing software.
  • And he has completed his education up to Metric level.
  • Azwar is currently working as in house intern in the academic department.

Teaching assistant

  • Azwar is doing an intership in the academics department at KVTC.
  • He is responsible for class discipline and filling out the class register.
  • His confidence has progressed in communicating with the trainees. He also possesses good interpersonal skills and he relates well with the trainees.

History:

Murrukh is a person who has learning disabilities and she is intellectually challenged  and she has limited concentration span . She has Struge Weber syndrome which is characterized by facial birthmark, this also affects her sight and internal organ function.

KVTC ‘s Intervention:

Murrukh has progressed since she first joined KVTC. When she first joined her fine motor skills were not developed she has a slight problem in her hand which made writing difficult. Now occupational therapy is addressing this by working on improving her fine motor skills. And she now actively takes part in sports games at KVTC. Murrukh is enrolled in two vocational skills and one therapy session.

  • Occupational Therapy– Marrukh is progressing and she has improved her fine motor skills and now can use an pencil properly.
  • Art and craft– She has completed all her modules and is capable of making art pieces for production for KVTC brand Jiddat.
  • Carpentry– She has also completed all three modules and is hoping to be accepted and a in house intern at KVTC.

Murrukh is a hardworking and friendly girl who excels at any task you set her. After completing all her skills she is looking to start an in house job at KVTC . Murrukh will be enrolled in Hand embroidery where she will learn different types of stitches to become a skilled craftswomen and be able to earn a living from her profession. To help Murrukh further progress she is in urgent need of sponsorship. To sponsor Murrukh and help her achieve her goals.
